Advocating for stewardship

If we accept that humans in the anthropocene are a custodian species, we can conclude that we have significant duties, and are failing in them. We are in dire need of improving our stewardship of and on this rare planet.

Once this is deeply understood, it becomes evident that focusing on stewardship requires us to scrutinise the cultures, patterns and practices of all our social systems and organisations, change them where needed, and safeguard the wise governance of them.

At rrarre we are called to stewardship as a moral obligation, but not everyone is. In that, we recognise the need for generating pathways of understanding stewardship better and sharing practices that support transition into more and better stewardship.

To this end rrarre is setting up an advocacy practice that aims to be a Nordic beacon for stewardship. The advocacy will involve writing, speaking, publishing, convening conversations, applied research and much more.
